Not For This World depicts the elusive creature known as Fey. To some she would be called Fairy, Faerie, Fayrie...she is of the Fey Folk, a mystery and something many claim cannot exist in reality...yet so many others choose to believe against all odds.

She is too beautiful for the ugliness of this world to comprehend, and yet, there she is...sitting in the palm of your hand...before your eyes, where seeing is believing. Real as reality will allow, you can feel her soft weight in your hand, you can see her gentle shadow....hear her quiet and frightened breathing. She knows she can trust you for her wisdom is far reaching and beyond what you can see or understand...but she fears you for simply being what you are....human.

There is no way to preserve this gentle creature in your world, she is not meant for it. As much happiness as she could bring, this world will not want it...they will abuse her gifts and make them disgusting. She will whither away into nothingness if left in the confines of this reality. You know that, you know deep in your heart that herein lies a beautiful sadness...you cannot share this deeply profound and amazing experience with anyone...because this creature, this moment...this image frozen in time...it's not meant for this world...

You have to let her go. As much as it hurts, as much pain as it causes you, as much anguish as it brings...she is not meant for this world....

She is sorrier than you can ever imagine, she wishes she could stay, she wishes she could erase the tears streaming down your cheek as you think of how much you're going to miss this simple moment you had with her...

But you know...

You have to let her go.

At least you have this to hold on to, this memory, this moment...nothing can change it or take it from you, nothing can make it any less yours...you only wish you didn't have to...but you do...
